HFC227ea trade name FM 200 ® or heptafluoropropane(CF3CHFCF3) extinguishing agent is a clean gas and is widely accepted as a substitute to Halon. HFC227ea is suitable for the protection of most hazards where Halon 1301 was applied in the past. Because HFC227ea is not electrically conductive, (but it is odourless and colourless) it is effective in the protection of electrical hazards, such as computer rooms. The gas is stored as a liquid and effective at very low design concentrations and therefore occupies a very small cylinder storage space.

FE-13™ is a high-pressure clean extinguishing agent manufactured by DuPont. Electrically non-conductive. Suitable for the protection of computer rooms, archives and electrical equipment. Specially suitable for storage areas requiring low temperatures. Proven efficacy in enclosures with ceilings as high as 7.5 metres. As all fluoride agents that are substitutes for Halon 1301 FE-13™ extinguishes the fire by absorbing heat. FE-13™ leaves no residue to clean up after discharge and is particularly safe in occupied areas.

NOVEC 1230 extinguishing agent is a clean gas widely accepted as substitute to Halon. NOVEC 1230, or dodecafluoro-2-methyl pentan-3-one(CF3CF2C(O)CF(CF3), is suitable for the protection of most hazards where Halon 1301 was applied in the past. Because NOVEC 1230 is not electrically conductive, (but it is odourless and colourless), it is effective in the protection of electrical hazards, such as computer rooms. Further more, it is suitable for class A fires (fires including solid materials) as well as for class B fires (flammable liquids).

HFC-125 is physically similar to Halon 1301, thus it is an excellent and efficient alternative with the advantage that it does not deplete the ozone layer. It is suitable for use as extinguishing agent in total flooding systems in occupied areas for the protection of property such as: computers, archives, electrical equipment and telecommunication equipment, among others.

Carbon Dioxide (Co2) is a colourless, odourless and electrically non-conductive, excellent extinguishant for the protection of vital services such as generator and transformer rooms. Control measures are mandatory with carbon dioxide installations to ensure that it is operated with complete safety for the occupants of a protected risk environment.
